On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers ‘Day, in the morning of November 20, 2020, Viglacera Corporation, Viglacera College held the Vietnam Teachers’ Day Anniversary and Training Conference of the Corporation 2020.
Attending the Ceremony and Training Conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh – Deputy Minister of Construction, Mr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh – Deputy Director General, General Department of Vocational Education, Viglacera’s Board of Directors and representatives leaders of Samsung Group, together with training affiliates units, etc.
Reviewing the training activities in 2019 – 2020, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Yen – Acting Rector of Viglacera College said: To meet the needs of high-quality human resources, Viglacera College has implemented effectively the Corporation’s human resource training and development tasks and providing human resources for the building materials industry in Vietnam. The college has a practice area, guiding students to practice on the job; investing in modern equipment to meet the teaching and learning work of Viglacera College’s lecturers and students.

With a vision to become the No. 1 college in the building materials industry in the country, towards full autonomy by 2023 and regional integration by 2025, the College has built a development strategy for the period 2021 – 2025 and has set long-term and short-term goals. In which, the long-term goal is to provide professional/vocational training services and work skills to meet the increasing needs of the member units in the Corporation; deploy training outside the society, at businesses outside the Corporation, industrial zones in the area; vocational training for labor export, etc.
To achieve the above objectives, the college has built a roadmap for each stage, specifically: In 2021, the college strives to achieve the number 1 in Vietnam goal in specialized training in manufacturing tiles and porcelain, sanitary ware; develop electromechanical, automation, and Korean faculties to meet the training needs of businesses in industrial parks and surrounding areas; modernize the program, improve the quality of the teaching staff, facilities, equipment and the management system; exploit and use effectively resources from the Corporation’s units in combination with external resources; branding of the school; manage the school dynamically and effectively; recognized as the School of Vocational Education Quality Assurance.
In 2022, strive to achieve the goal No. 1 Vietnam in training glass manufacturing majors; brand development of the College; promote international cooperation and will seek to take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges; willing to cooperate and compete fairly with other educational institutions in the country and in the region to benefit the common development; recognized as the High Quality School in the country.

2025: International training (Top 3-5 ASEAN regions)
In addition, the University will also continuously update and adjust training programs and textbooks, consolidate and develop the faculty, promote enrollment cooperation, and additional investment in facilities to serve training purposes, at the same time focusing on research and application of science and technology and improving management of the University, etc.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers November 20, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – General Director of Viglacera Corporation – JSC has sent best wishes to all staff, lecturers and generations of the College’s leaders of Viglacera through periods.
Emphasizing the importance of the Corporation’s human resource development, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – General Director said: 2020 is a very difficult year for businesses around the world, also a measure of health for the businesses. Therefore, businesses must strive to overcome difficulties and make a breakthrough to succeed, including Viglacera Corporation. Coming to the end of 2020, the most important targets set by the Corporation have all been completed, this year’s profit is higher than in 2019. In particular, the highlight of the Corporation this year is investment and went into efficient operation of the ultra-white glass production line.

Viglacera College was established and developed always associated with the development orientation of the Corporation’s human resources, mainly aimed at training staff to specialize in building materials, then training and fostering for the management team of the member units. This is an important political task in the training and development of human resources of the Corporation during the past 46 years.
In order to continue to inherit and strongly develop the training in 2021, General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan proposed Viglacera College to develop a plan and stick to the target, follow the training market, operate according to company model, meeting the market with high quality human resources, etc. In order to do so, the college needs to focus on teaching students how to work, teachers must have practical experience, practice, Students after graduation can work immediately and bring efficiency to the business. To attach importance to training activities in reality, taking people as the center, talent is number 1.

Addressing his congratulatory speech at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh highly appreciated the training performance at Viglacera College, especially vocational training associated with the needs of enterprises’ labor use, meeting on providing practical human resources for the development of the building materials industry.
To meet the increasing training needs today, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh suggested the Corporation as well as Viglacera College actively plan training, finance, and investment in facilities. The contingent of cadres and lecturers must ensure both quantity and quality, can recruit full time academic lecturers, staff to work for a long time at the college, contribute to improving people’s knowledge and training high quality human resources, fostering talents for the construction industry, building materials, etc.
